Quote requests ready to price

Quantities, drawings, materials and delivery dates captured with the request, so your estimator isn’t chasing the details by email.

Accounts, not just once-off orders

Approved trade buyers log in to see their pricing, reorder and download invoices, so repeat business doesn’t depend on someone picking up the phone.

Pass the supplier check

Quality certifications, B-BBEE level, machinery and production capacity set out in the places a procurement team will actually look.

WHAT WE BUILD

Built around how manufacturers win orders

You already know your products and processes better than a website can explain. These are the parts that carry that across to a buyer who has not ordered from you yet.

Product Catalogue

Your full range laid out by product line and filterable by material, size and application, with spec sheets and drawings a buyer can download without having to ask.

Request for Quote

Buyers add items to a quote list or upload their own drawings, with quantities, materials, finish and delivery date captured, so every request reaches your estimator ready to price.

Certifications & Capabilities

Quality certifications, product marks, B-BBEE level, machinery list and production capacity set out in one place, with the detail a procurement team checks before adding you as a supplier.

Trade Accounts & Bulk Pricing

Buyers apply for a trade account that you approve. Pricing stays hidden until then, minimum order quantities are set per product, and price breaks apply automatically at the quantities you choose.

Online Ordering

Approved buyers place orders at any hour and pay by card, EFT or on account, with courier rates worked out at checkout from the order size and delivery address.

Client Portal

Order history, one-click reorders, invoices, statements and certificates of conformity behind one login, linked to your accounting system so stock and pricing stay current without double capturing.

What a manufacturing website costs

Pricing starts at R22,000. Where your site lands depends on how much of the list above your business needs, and we’ll tell you which parts are worth it before you pay for anything.

  • Essential site, from R22,000: a fast, well-built site with your product ranges, capabilities and certifications, and a quote request form that takes drawings and quantities.
  • Catalogue and quoting, from R35,000: everything in the essential site, plus a full product catalogue with filters and downloadable spec sheets, a quote list buyers can add items to, and pages for each product line and industry you supply.
  • Full system, from R52,000: adds trade accounts with bulk pricing, online ordering with payment on account and courier rates, and a client portal with reorders, invoices and certificates, connected to Sage, Pastel or the system you already use.
  • Ongoing care, from R1,500 a month: hosting, updates, backups, security and small changes, usually done within one business day.

Why it costs what it does

A website like this is best measured against the work it brings in, not against other websites. One new distributor, or a single trade account that orders every month, can be worth more than the whole build. If the site helps you win one extra account a year, it has paid for itself.

A good site lasts years. Spread over three, a R35,000 build works out to under R1,000 a month, and it keeps working after that.

Cheaper websites exist, and for some businesses they’re the right choice. The difference is time. A low-cost site is usually a template with your logo added. What we build is planned around how your orders and enquiries come in, written for the people who buy from you, and tested with a real quote request before it goes live. That takes weeks of work, and the price reflects it.

DC Installations, a duct and steel manufacturer in East London, brought in R80,000 in the first three weeks of their new site.

Every quote is fixed and broken down line by line, so you can see what each part costs and leave out anything you don’t need.

THE PROCESS

How your site gets built

01

Meeting & Listening

First we talk about how your business actually runs.

Where your orders come from, how you price them, who handles the quotes, and what eats up the most time in a normal week. No forms and no brief to fill in. Most of what we need comes out of one conversation.

02

Scope & Fixed Price

You get a price before anything starts, and it does not move.

We write up exactly what is being built, broken down so you can see what each part costs on its own, with a date for when it will be finished. Nothing begins until you are happy with both.

03

Design

We lay the pages out around the way your customers actually buy.

Not a stock layout with your logo dropped into it. You see every page before a line of code exists, which is the stage where changing your mind costs nothing but a conversation.

04

Your Sign-Off

Nothing gets built until you have said yes to the design.

You tell us what to change and we change it. This is the cheapest point in the whole job to be picky, so we would rather you were picky here than after it is built.

05

Build

The site gets built, and you watch it happen.

You get a link to see it coming together rather than waiting to be shown the finished article. Anything that needs adjusting gets adjusted while we are still in there working on it.

06

Testing & Launch

You run a real order through it before anyone else sees it.

A real quote request or a real order, tested on phones, tablets and desktop. Then we handle the move over, the domain and the email. Your old site stays up until the new one is working properly.

07

Maintenance & Support

We stay on it after launch.

Updates, backups and security handled in the background. When something needs changing, it comes straight to us and is usually done within one business day.

“We relied on word of mouth for over 40 years and never saw the need for a website. Within weeks of launching we already had an order come through it. SouthLine understood what we do and built something that genuinely represents us.”

Frequently asked questions

An essential site usually takes three to four weeks from the day you sign off the quote. Larger builds with a full product catalogue, trade ordering or a client portal take six to ten weeks, depending mostly on how many products need loading. You’ll get a finish date in writing before anything starts.

50% deposit to start, 25% once you’ve approved the design, and the final 25% before the site goes live. The price is fixed, so it won’t change halfway through unless you ask us to add something.

Very little. Most of what we need comes out of one conversation. After that, we’ll ask for your logo, product photos, spec sheets and any certifications you’d like shown. If your product list already sits in a spreadsheet or your accounting system, we work from that. We write the page content from what you tell us, and you check it before it goes live.

Yes. We’ll look at what’s working and what isn’t, and either improve it or rebuild it, depending on which makes more sense. Your current site stays up until the new one is tested and ready, so there’s no downtime.

In most cases, yes. Stock levels, pricing and orders can sync between the site and your accounting or ERP system, so nobody captures the same order twice. Some systems need a third-party connector with its own monthly fee. If yours does, we’ll tell you what it costs before you commit, and bill it at cost.

Yes, once the site is live and the full balance has been paid. From then on, the website, its content and the domain belong to you. If you ever want to move to another developer or host, we’ll hand everything over. You’re never locked in.

For a site that takes quotes, orders or bookings, we’d say yes. From R1,500 a month, we look after hosting, updates, backups and security, and make small changes within one business day. Your site connects to forms, email and the systems you already use, and those connections need regular updates to keep working. Without that care, things can stop working without anyone noticing.

We’re based in East London but work with businesses across South Africa. Meetings happen by video call, and everything else by email or phone.

Yes. Once your site is live, we can also look after the work that keeps enquiries coming in:

  • Ongoing SEO: new service and area pages, articles and monthly improvements, so you show up for more of the searches your customers make.
  • Social media management: regular posts on Facebook and Instagram, from R2,000 a month.
  • Ad management: Google and Meta ads set up and managed, with a monthly report on what you’re getting for your spend.
