Frequently asked questions

How much does a website cost?

Most sites start from R18,500. Sites with online quoting, ordering, bookings or a client portal cost more, depending on what your business needs. Every quote is fixed and itemised, so you can see what each part costs and leave out anything you don’t need.

How long does a website take?

Most standard sites are live three to four weeks after you approve the quote. Larger builds with ordering, bookings or a client portal take six to ten weeks. You’ll get a finish date in writing before we start.

How does payment work?

A 50% deposit starts the project, 25% is due once you’ve approved the design, and the final 25% before the site goes live. The price is fixed and only changes if you ask for something extra.

Do we have to pay monthly?

The build is a once-off cost. Our care plans are optional, but we strongly recommend one. A site that isn’t looked after slowly falls behind on updates and becomes a security risk. Plans start from R1,500 a month and cover hosting, updates, backups, security and small changes, with changes done within one business day. They run month to month or annually, you can move between plans at any time, and you can cancel with 30 days’ notice.

Will we own the website?

Yes. Once the site is live and the balance is paid, the website, its content and the domain are yours. If you ever move to another developer or host, we’ll hand everything over.

Can you work with our existing website?

Yes. We’ll look at what’s working and what isn’t, and either improve it or rebuild it, whichever makes more sense. Your current site stays live until the new one is tested and ready.

How much of our time will it take?

Not much. Most of what we need comes out of one conversation. After that, we’ll ask for your logo, photos and any documents you want shown. We write the page content, and you approve it before anything goes live.

Do you only work with industrial businesses?

Most of our work is for HVAC contractors, manufacturers, distributors and hire companies, but we build for other businesses too. We’re based in East London and work with clients across South Africa, with meetings by video call.
